ОД ЧОВЈЕКА ДО БОГОЧОВЈЕКА

По свом назначењу човјек је створен боголико и дато му је да се усавршава у добру до савршенства Савршеног Бога.

Како је човјек подлегао првом и тада једином искушењу, Бог га је опоменуо благо, казнио, али га није одбацио. Обећао је да ће му је послати "Спаситеља" који ће га вратити Богу. Тај Спаситељ је Син Божији, који нам, ево, опет долази да нас опомене да не скрећемо са пута којим нас је Бог упутио, да нас опомене да нам без Бога нема живота. Христос је стигао међу нас у вријеме, како свједочи Апостол Павле, "када је дошао крај времена", када се човјек обезбожио и толико ублатио да није знао други излаз до самоуништења. "Христос је дошао у блата људског, да га очисти, обасја божанском свјетлошћу и испуни божанском истином, љубављу, добротом и красотом од Бога му даном на почетку свијета и вијека."

"Христос је Богочовјек, то је полазна тачка Хришћанства, од ње мора поћи сваки, сваки без изузетка. Од ње полазе Еванђелисти и Апостоли, Мученици и Исповедници, Свети Оци и Чудотворци. То је основна догма Хришћанства; из ње се изводе све остале догме и сва остала факта", каже предивно Свети Ава Јустин (Сетве и жетве, Мисли, књ. 2, стр. 272).

Божић је дан радости, а ми се о радосним данима поздрваљамо богомудрим хришћанским поздравом: "Мир Божји, Христос се роди!" и отпоздрвљамо: "Ваистину се роди!"

Ту је сажета она, најјача симболика – да нам се родио Хростос Спаситељ, у граду Витлејему, дугоочекивани Месија и Спаситељ. И тој радости нема краја. То је радост већа и од радости Васкрса, јер да није Христос дошао, ни Васкрса не би било .

"Божић је родитељ свим осталим благим данима. Божић је први хришћански благ дан, који је светлошћу својом освештао децу Адамову и унео радост у душе њихове; први слатки дан у многим хиљадама горких дана незнабожачког света. Пре Христа људски род није знао за љубав Оца према деци ни деце према Оцу" (Свети Владика Николај, Мисионарска писма, Мисли владике Николаја, стр. 224).

Празнујући Божић, ми празнујемо рођење Бога у тијелу људском и препорођај човјека земаљског у анђела небеског, у Икону Његову. Божић нас припрема за новог, изнутра обновљеног човјека. А то се без знања о Богу и без љубави Његове не може десити. Христос нас учи да нема пута, истине нити живота без Бога. Сва знања овога свијета без Бога су само мука души нашој. А сва радот је у знању Онога који је извор свих знања и који је нас неуке упутио да идемо и проповиједамо језицима учећи људе о Богу. Свети Владика Николај закључује: "Што веће свјетско знање без онога светог знања, то већа штета. " Данас, када свијет дрхти од штетних свјетских покрета и економских недаћа, треба да знамо да – што је веће свјетско богатсво без главног, небеског богатства, то је само већа штета. "Христос је једини који нам даје и овоземаљска и небеска добра, и може сачувати великог зналца од злоупотребе знања и великог богаташа од злоупотребе богатства" (Св. Николај).

Нека овогодишња наша радост буде у знању и богатству од Бога нам даном, од Богомладенца који нам Мир доноси, а не од овоземаљских "миротвораца" који нас свакодневно застрашују.

Мир Божји – Христос се роди! Ваистину се роди!

THE HEAVENLY TREASURY OF KNOWLEDGE

FROM MAN TO THE GOD-MAN

According to his designation man is created in the image of God and to advance in goodness toward the perfection of the Perfect God.

As man gave in to the first and, at that time the only temptation, God gently warned him, punished him, but did not cast him away. He promised that He will send him a “Saviour” who will return him to God. That Saviour is the Son of God, who is coming again to warn us not to stray from the path on which God has directed us, to warn us that without God there is no life. Christ arrived among us at the time, as the Apostle Paul testifies; “when the end of time came” man denied God and muddied himself to such an extent that he knew no other way out other than self destruction. “Christ came to this human mire, to cleanse man, to illumine him with divine light, love, goodness and splendour given to him by God from the beginning of the world and the ages”.

“Christ is God and Man; this is the starting point of Christianity, from which everyone, without exception, must commence. From this point the Evangelists and the Apostles, Martyrs and Confessors, the Holy Fathers and Wonderworkers began. This is the basic dogma of Christianity; from this dogma proceed all other dogmas and facts”, as the Holy Ava Justin so eloquently says (Plantings and Harvests, Thoughts, Book 2, Page 272).

Christmas is a day of joy, and we during these joyful days, greet each other with the divinely inspired Christian greeting: “Peace of God, Christ is born!” and we respond with: “Indeed He is born!”

Here is that concise, that strongest symbolism – that Christ our Saviour, the long awaited Messiah and Redeemer was born in the city of Bethlehem. And there is no end to this joy. This is joy that is greater that the joy of Pascha, for had Christ did not come there would be no Resurrection.

The Nativity of Christ is the parent of all other feast days. Christmas is the first Christian feast day, which by its light enlightened the children of Adam and brought joy into their souls; the first sweet day among thousands of bitter days of the pagan world. Prior to Christ the human race did not about the love of the Father towards His children, nor of the love of His Children for the Father” (St. Nikolaj the Bishop, Missionary Letters, Thoughts of Bishop Nikolaj, page. 224).

Celebrating Christmas, we celebrate the birth of God in human flesh, the rebirth of earthly man into a heavenly angel, into His Icon. Christmas prepares us for as a new man renewed from within. And, without the knowledge of God and without His love this cannot take place. Christ teaches us that without God there is no path, no truth, and no life. All earthly knowledge without God is only suffering for our soul. And, all joy is in the knowledge of the One who is the source of all knowledge that directed us, the unlearned, to go and preach in various languages teaching people about God. The Holy Bishop Nikolaj concludes: “The greatest earthly knowledge without that knowledge (about God), is a great misfortune”. Today, when the earth trembles from dangerous earthly movements and economic misfortunes, we need to know that – the greater the earthly wealth without the main one, the heavenly wealth, is an even greater misfortune. “Christ alone can give us both the earthly as well as the heavenly good things and protect the great expert from abusing his knowledge and the great rich man from abusing his wealth”. (St. Nikolaj.

May our joy this year be in the knowledge and the wealth given to us by God, from the Christ Child who brings us Peace,and not from the “peacemakers” of this world frighten us daily.

Peace of God – Christ is born! Indeed He is born!
